IN A TESTAMENT to Melbourne’s 2022 season, six Demons have been named in the 2022 Therabody All-Australian squad.

Skipper Max Gawn is among those featured in the 44-man line-up, with the ruckman looking to receive his sixth All-Australian honour since first being recognised in 2016.

Clayton Oliver and Christian Petracca will be hoping to earn themselves a third All-Australian blazer after standout seasons in Melbourne’s midfield, while star defender Steven May, who earned his first selection last year, will be chasing a second nod.

Long-time Demon Angus Brayshaw is in line to be a debutant in the All-Australian team after a stellar season where he embraced a role change as a hard-hitting half-back.

Also vying for a maiden call-up is versatile forward Bayley Fritsch, who made the squad of 40 in 2021 as well.

The final Therabody All-Australian Team will be revealed on Wednesday night at the 2022 AFL Awards.
