THE DEMONS are set to host two blockbuster clashes at the MCG, with the AFL confirming details for the upcoming 2022 Toyota AFL Premiership Season matches.
The announcement of the fixture will see Melbourne travel to Western Australia in Round 20 to face Fremantle, before returning home to battle it out against two clubs in Collingwood and Carlton.
The Round 21 match will provide Melbourne members and supporters priority access to a redemption clash under Friday night lights, as the Demons prepare to return serve against the Pies.
The following Saturday, the Dees will take on the Blues in their first fixtured match against each other for 2022. The game is another opportunity for the Melbourne faithful to come together.
Melbourne CEO Gary Pert said the club was looking forward to seeing its fans fill the 'G for its two epic home games.
“After five weeks on the road, we’re excited to welcome our members and fans back to the MCG for rounds 21 and 22," Pert told Melbourne Media.
“We can’t wait to see the ‘G full of red and blue as the rivalry continues against Collingwood and Carlton.
“While we charge towards a finals campaign, we urge all supporters to mark these dates in their calendar and fill the stands of the ‘G.”
The next fixture block will provide a number of opportunities for the Demon faithful to enjoy the home of football. Melbourne supporters are encouraged to sign up as a member today.
Tickets to all three matches will made available soon, with the AFL to confirm this date in the coming weeks.
