VFLW: Casey makes their first Semi-Final
A historic weekend for our Casey Demons VFLW side, winning their first ever final, and in fantastic fashion by 35 points over the reigning premiers Collingwood.
The win secured our girls a double chance at reaching the Grand Final in three weeks' time.
This week’s opponent is minor premiers Essendon. The Bombers have had a brilliant season to date and established themselves as the side to beat, as they are still yet to drop a game in 2022.
The last time both sides met two weeks ago, Essendon prevailed by one goal. Our girls controlled the game for most of the day, with inaccurate kicking our only downfall. Having four more scoring shots, it could have easily been our victory.
If our girls are to win on Sunday it will propel them into their first ever VFLW Grand Final, whilst a loss will see them take on the winner from the first semi-final between Hawthorn and the Southern Saints.

Our VFL team have a scheduled bye for round 13 of Smithy’s VFL. Last week our boys were too good for Collingwood, and sit three games clear and still undefeated on top of the ladder.
Our next game will be in round 14, as we travel up north to take on the Gold Coast Suns.

Train - Catch a train on the Craigieburn line and hop off at Essendon Train Station. Windy Hill is a 10-minute walk from the station.
