MELBOURNE has added five names to its 26-man squad for Monday’s Queen’s Birthday clash with the Magpies.

Michael Hibberd, Sam Weideman, Oskar Baker, Kade Chandler and Daniel Turner have all been included on the Demons’ interchange for the match, with at least one of those players to be called upon when the final 22 is confirmed at 4:30pm on Saturday.

Jayden Hunt is the man to be omitted from last week’s side, while Toby Bedford, who was named as the medical sub against Sydney, has also been withdrawn from the squad.

If Hibberd or Baker are named in the Dees’ defence, it will be their first games of 2022, while Turner is a chance to make his AFL debut after being recruited via last year’s mid-season draft.

The Monday afternoon battle at the MCG is a replacement home game for Melbourne members and will be a significant afternoon as both sides look to support the fight against MND.
