AFTER dropping just its second match of the season last weekend, Casey has hit back hard, smashing North Ballarat by 91 points at Eureka Stadium on Saturday.
Casey 19.21 (135) defeated North Ballarat 7.2 (44) to move back to the top of the ladder.
The Scorpions continued their excellent record away from home, having yet to drop a game on the road.
Midfielder Angus Brayshaw starred upon return, after missing the past four matches with concussion.
He notched up 29 disposals and kicked two goals in a brilliant display.
Utility Matt Jones, who was Casey’s best in its loss to Collingwood last round, continued his outstanding form with 38 disposals.
Youngster Alex Neal-Bullen continued his fine season in the VFL with 30 possessions.
Former rookie James Harmes had impressed with 26 touches and kicked three goals.
Defender Colin Garland also had 26 disposals.
Big men Jake Spencer and Liam Hulett shone in front of goal, booting four goals each.
Jeff Garlett, Max King and Ben Newton chipped in with one goal each.
Casey has its second bye for the season next weekend.
