KYSAIAH Pickett’s highlight reel is as good as any, and he’s just 44 games into his career.

The speedy small forward was at his lively best on Saturday night, entertaining the Melbourne faithful with a three-goal haul at the MCG.

But it was what he didn’t do that created just as much buzz throughout the 67-point win over the Giants.

In the first term, Pickett went aerial, leaping over a pack on the wing in an attempt that, if successful, would’ve secured him the Mark of the Year title.

It wasn’t to be.

“I’m practicing but I can’t just hold one,” Pickett told Melbourne Media.

“Eventually I’ll get one, but I’ll keep trying.”

Then, ‘Kozzy’ thought he’d give Goal of the Year a crack, but a piece of woodwork intervened.

“At training I do a lot of goal kicking from the boundary,” he said.

“I just practice from anywhere really, just in case it comes in games like it did tonight.

“I was just a little bit off tonight, hit the post.

“But it is what it is, ay.”

The 20-year-old had his busiest night of the season to date with 20 pressure acts and 10 disposals, patrolling the forward half of the ground.

And his contributions helped the Demons pile on 10 majors in a scintillating third quarter display.

“It was good fun,” Pickett said.

“All the boys are gelling pretty well.”
