In an equal all-time high for Melbourne’s AFLW program, seven Demons have been named in the 2022 AFLW All-Australian squad.

The Demons have received the highest number of nominations within the league, a testament to the club’s depth across the ground.

Tayla Harris, who joined the Demons at the beginning of the 2022 season, will be looking for her fourth All-Australian honour after an exceptional year in the red and blue, currently tallying a total of 18 goals and 24 contested marks.

Captain Daisy Pearce has also featured in the line-up following an outstanding season at the helm. Currently averaging 1.3 goals and 4.2 score involvements per game, Pearce has been pivotal up forward. The verastile Demon has also displayed leadership down back, becoming integral in challenging wins throughout the home-and-away season.

Young Demons Shelley Heath and Tyla Hanks, who just yesterday were named in the AFLPA’s AFLW 22Under22 team, will be looking to receive their first time All-Australian honours.

Kate Hore, Libby Birch and Lauren Pearce are the remaining Demons to receive nominations and will become second-time All-Australians if chosen in the final team.
