Former Demons Ron Barassi, Hassa Mann, Greg Wells, Stan Alves, Garry Lyon, Todd Viney, David Neitz and Nathan Jones will have official flag bearer duties, coming together to represent all those who have helped make the club what it is today.
In an AFL first, the flag will feature the surnames of loyal Melbourne members on its back, reflecting how significant the victory was for the club and the Demon faithful alike.
The grand final rematch will then take pride of place, welcoming fans back to the MCG for the first time in eight months.
Following the first-half action, an exciting family-friendly sound and light show will begin.
With music, choreographed lighting and fireworks - the largest fireworks display the MCG has ever seen - the show will commence at the start of halftime, with Melbourne encouraging all fans to stay in their seats to catch the entertainment.
The night is one to clear your calendar for, with family tickets (two adults, two children) available for $50.
