The Demons secured their 10th win of the season on Friday night after defeating the Western Bulldogs by 59-points.
See what Simon Goodwin, James Harmes and Bayley Fritsch had to say following the win.
Post-match media conference – Simon Goodwin
On looking ahead to the finals
“That’s the furthest thing from our mind at the moment, this group has been sensational at just resetting and dealing with each week that comes our way, I know from a supporters perspective, its brilliant what the boys are doing, and I am sure all our supporters are incredibly excited, and so they should be, but we still have a lot of improving to do as a side in the second half of the year to be the team we want to be.”
Triple M – James Harmes
Playing on Tom Liberatore
“This week Goody came up to me and said I was going to go to Libba.”
“He generates a lot of the inside ball and feeds it out to the likes of (Bont) Marcus Bontempelli and Macrae (Jackson Macrae), we thought if we could nullify him (Tom Liberatore) at the stoppage it would go a long way to winning the game and I think we executed it pretty well.”
ABC – Bayley Fritsch
On the fast start
“We had a clear plan going into the game, we just wanted to celebrate the little things and that will create our own atmosphere, we have probably struggled a lit bit early in first quarters this year and we really wanted to be on from the get-go and I think that really set us up.”
