HIGH-flying forward Jeremy Howe will front the tribunal after he wiped blood from his knee on the shorts of Port Adelaide youngster Tom Jonas.
The match review panel assessed the incident as a misconduct charge.
It went straight to the tribunal, as it is not covered in the table of offences.
Howe cannot accept an early plea.
The incident happened in the goalsquare during the third quarter of Melbourne’s loss against Port Adelaide at TIO Stadium on Saturday night.
It proved to be a mixed match for Howe, who was lauded for his towering mark of the year contender over teammate Stef Martin.
