MELBOURNE forward Bayley Fritsch has earned some recognition on the back of a dominant Round 4 performance, but not for his goal kicking.
While the left footer slotted four majors in the Dees’ 25-point win over Geelong, it was his aerial work that caught the eye of the competition.
Fritsch has been nominated for Mark of the Year, after pulling down a spectacular grab on the shoulders of Jake Kolodjashnij at the MCG.
His high-flying effort in the first quarter on Sunday is one of three marks in the running for this week’s top honour, coming up against Luke Davies-Uniacke and Eric Hipwood.
