MELBOURNE has made one change to its starting 22 for Round 4, with Jake Melksham named to face the Cats.
Sunday’s match will be the 29-year-old’s first of 2021, after he was listed as the club’s medical sub for last week’s win over GWS.
Melksham’s inclusion comes at the expense of Tom Sparrow, who has been omitted from the side.
The undefeated Demons will be close-to full strength when they meet Geelong at the MCG, and could receive a boost in coming weeks with Ben Brown and Sam Weideman having a run in a VFL practice match on Saturday.
Last year's Grand Finalists will be without Patrick Dangerfield and Gary Rohan who have both been suspended in the early part of the season, while new recruit Jeremy Cameron remains sidelined with a hamstring injury.
Kade Chandler, Michael Hibberd, Harry Petty and Sparrow have been named on Melbourne's emergency list, with the sub to be announced an hour before the first bounce.
