IN: 2020 Pick No.31
OUT: Braydon Preuss
RUCKMAN Braydon Preuss will be a Giant in 2021, after receiving a trade on Tuesday afternoon.
The 25-year-old requested the move up north to seek greater opportunity, one which GWS can provide.
In return for the 206cm footballer, the Demons have received pick No.31 in the 2020 National Draft.
And while Preuss’ expertise will be missed at Melbourne, GM of Football Josh Mahoney is pleased to have been able to assist in his career development.
“Braydon has grown enormously since joining the club at the end of 2018,” Mahoney told Melbourne Media.
“He’s worked closely with Max Gawn and Greg Stafford, which has helped him feel ready to take on the number one ruck role at GWS.
“We were happy to work out a trade to get him there and wish him all the best for the future.”
Preuss played 10 games for the Demons across his two seasons, after initially being traded from North Melbourne alongside pick No.62, in exchange for Dom Tyson.
On the back of deals with Brisbane, Adelaide and the Western Bulldogs, the Dees have now bolstered their hand for the 2020 National Draft.
