IN: 2020 Pick No.33 and 2020 Pick No.50
OUT: 2021 Second Round Pick and 2021 Fourth Round Pick
MELBOURNE has been involved in its second pick swap of the 2020 Trade Period, securing two selections in this year’s draft.
The exchange with Adelaide on Tuesday morning sees the Demons part ways with two future draft picks, but that gives them access to greater talent this off-season.
“These picks this year give us some flexibility with upcoming potential trades, or again to improve this year’s draft position,” GM of Football Josh Mahoney told Melbourne Media.
When the 2020 National Draft order was first revealed, the Dees had just one pick inside the top 46, but following a move with Brisbane last Friday, they now have three.
This leaves them in a strong position for the remainder of the Trade Period, which concludes on Thursday night at 7:30pm.
