FIVE Casey Demons have been selected for the upcoming three game Young Guns series to be held in May and June.
Tom Freeman, Kieran Byers, Aiden Quigley, Mykelti Lefau and Julian Patterson have all been named for the series, which is an opportunity for players aged 21 and under to show off their skills in front of AFL recruiters.
Players are drawn from the VFL, TAC Cup 19-year-olds and local leagues.
Casey assistant coach Mark Wheatley will also be involved as a midfield coach during the series.
The Young Guns matches will be played as curtain-raisers to the following VFL matches:
- Saturday, May 5: Werribee v Collingwood, Chirnside Park, 2pm
- Saturday May 26: Port Melbourne v Casey Demons, North Port Oval, 11am
- Saturday, June 30: Port Melbourne v Sandringham, North Port Oval, 11am
