TOM SPARROW is set for a stint on the sidelines after breaking his collarbone last weekend, while James Jordon will also miss at least a month of footy with a finger injury.

Following a collision during Melbourne’s clash with the Dogs in Round 13, Sparrow went in for surgery to get his collarbone repaired immediately and is expected to be out for the next four weeks.

For Jordon, it was an unfortunate incident in the gym last week that required plastic surgery on the tip of his finger.

The other injury concern to come from Melbourne’s seventh week away from home was Nathan Jones, who was a late withdrawal from the match at Metricon Stadium.

Jones experienced quad tightness during the warm-up, but didn’t require scans and should be available for the trip to Alice Springs.

Max Gawn will also be back to face the Saints, after putting in an enormous amount of work to recover from his knee injury.

Fellow ruckman Luke Jackson (hamstring) is on track in his rehab, with a Round 18 return on the cards for the 18-year-old.

Watch below as performance manager Darren Burgess provides an update on the club’s full injury list.
