DEMONS supporters all around Australia have been hard at work in the last month recruiting new supporters.

Our Dob in a Baby, Junior and Adult Demon promotions asked for existing supporters to dob in potential new supporters, who would then receive a free guernsey.

Thanks to New Balance, over 700 people received guernseys during the promotion, and are now wearing the red and blue with pride.

There have been many stories coming through about newborns being saved from the grasp of their Collingwood supporting Dad, right through to adults finally cementing their allegiance to the Club after years of ‘sitting on the fence’. Here are some of our favourite stories:

From Nick Everitt
Their Dad is Hawthorn, so it's been tough work to get them to follow the mighty Dees, however I think I have finally got them since they received their new jumpers.

Max's (5 years old) favourite player is now Jack Watts and he has asked me to go buy a number 4 for him to put on the back of the jumper. Every time I kick the footy with him he yells out 'JACK WATTS, NUMBER 4'. He has asked me to take him to matches next year as well as training sessions, so he can meet Jack.

Charlie (2 years old) seems to like Jack Trengove the most but still has trouble pronouncing his name. When I ask him who his new favourite player is he says 'Ack Wenwove'

I can't say their dad is too happy about their new heroes, but Hawthorn have enough supporters so I don't really care. Thanks very much for the jumpers, I think it's a great idea and good to see us on the front foot trying to recruit more supporters.

Go the Mighty Dees!

From Katrina Lawrence
My 6 year old son Bayley Lawrence originally followed the Saints, after his dad. Guess what, our newest Melbourne recruit has just come on board, now he is a Demon like his mum! I've followed the Melbourne FC all of my life and to not only have my 3 year old son barrack for the Dees, I've now got both my boys barracking! You have made one happy family, well Mum and boys, Dad's a little disappointed though, ha!

Thank you once again, we are so appreciative!

From The Kennedy Family
We dobbed in our darling daughter Corinne Kennedy who was so delighted to receive her guernsey that it also went to bed with her! She also doesn't seem to mind the comments and sideways glances she gets when she wears it around our town - which happens to be GEELONG! Thanks for this wonderful gift which is truly treasured!

From Hayden Schutz
Yesterday I received the new long sleeved Melbourne guernsey that you sent for my son Liam. I would like to the Melbourne Football Club very much for the great initiative of trying to young kids on board to support the Dees. I am an interstate (and passionate!!) member of the Dees so was very proud to see my boy in the red and blue guernsey.

I hope you enjoy the photos as much as me and once again, thank you very much!
