FORMER Crow Bernie Vince says he has “thoroughly enjoyed” his move to the Demons, after crossing to the club via last year’s trade period.
Vince, who played 129 games for the Crows from 2006-13 and won Adelaide’s 2009 best and fairest award, said he had relished the opportunity to help the emerging Demons.
“I love playing with this club,” he said from AAMI Park on Friday.
“I get a real kick out of seeing the side do a lot better than in the past.”
Vince said coach Paul Roos had been outstanding for the players with his experience and ability to get the best out of the team.
“A lot of coaches are good at it, but he just understands the game and gets the best out of every individual,” he said.
“A lot of players have got different personalities and ways of going about things, and he seems to pick that up and realise the best way to deal with those players.
“We’ve got a pretty young side and some pretty talented young players. Guys are coming in on the weekend and performing, and he’s getting the best out of them, so he’s a calm and relaxed guy. He doesn’t get too caught up in everything.”
