CASEY came from behind to defeat the Coburg Tigers by six points at Mantello Holden Oval on Saturday afternoon.

After leading at each change, the Tigers gave the Scorpions a scare, before Casey steadied to win the match.

Lynden Dunn, who was an emergency for Melbourne’s clash against the Brisbane Lions at the MCG, was then driven to Coburg, arriving after quarter-time. He ended up booting three goals in the win.

Versatile big man Tom McDonald also kicked three goals and shone for Casey.

Off half-back, Jamie Bennell showed some promising signs and Cale Morton was impressive in a sweeping role. Tall backman Troy Davis took the game on, and James Sellar was also solid in defence, playing on AFL-listed players.

Midfielder Tom Couch won several clearances, and Luke Tapscott managed to get another game under his belt. Rookie Jai Sheahan also showed some promising signs.
