Neeld urges supporters to farewell Green at home
Coach Mark Neeld has urged the red and blue faithful to come out in full support of retiring Demon Brad Green’s final home game
Green will play in Victoria for the last time this Sunday, when the Demons host the Adelaide Crows at the MCG. Melbourne plays Fremantle in the final home and away round at Patersons Stadium on Saturday, September 1.
“Sunday is a big day for the footy club and in particular Brad Green - it’ll be the final game he plays at the MCG,” Neeld told the ‘The Coach’s Office’ on DeeTV.
“We’re having a tribute for him, and it’ll be fantastic to see as many Demon supporters there who have come and had a look at Brad play throughout his career and wished him well.
“It’ll be great for one last cheer for Brad on the weekend. I fully encourage all of the Demon supporters, who are thinking of getting out to the ‘G on Sunday, please do so and support Brad - and the rest of the boys.”
Meanwhile, Neeld praised the recent form of versatile tall Lynden Dunn, who has impressed down back in recent weeks.
The 25 year-old achieved career best disposals (28) against Greater Western Sydney last Saturday at Manuka Oval.
“We’ve been really pleased with the form of Lynden Dunn,” Neeld said.
“Since going back … he’s in good nick.
“His preparation is first rate, and we’ve been pleased with that.”
