THE AFL GRAND Final for most people signifies the end of the football season. However, this year, the season lives on for one more day when you get the opportunity to personally grace the hallowed turf that is the MCG.

On Sunday 2 October, the MCG Community Day is giving footy fans the chance to relive the previous day’s game by participating in activities on the ‘G where - only hours before - a team will have made history by winning the AFL premiership cup.

Entry to the MCG Community Day will also give you access to the National Sports Museum, Australia’s only multi-sports museum, a ‘behind the scenes’ tour of the MCG,  and entertainment throughout the day from roving performers. The first 500 families to attend will also receive a fun-filled showbag.

If being on the MCG is not enough, why not take some of the MCG home with you? Portions of the MCG turf - 20 cm by 20 cm - will be sold for $250 each. The turf will be available for sale on a first-come, first-served basis from the Gate 3 ticket window from 10.00 am.

So, before you dust off your cricket bat for the upcoming summer, bring your footy along and make the most of this rare opportunity that is the MCG Community Day.
