IN MANY ways, Brad Miller’s 2007season was symptomatic of his team’s.
Promising so much over summerand expecting to take the next step, things didn’t quite pan out the way theyshould have.
“My season was ordinary,” theDemon tall said, noting that he was well rested as he readies for a big 2008.
“It’s only been four weeks, I’vebeen taking it easy and putting the feet up.” he said.
“Probably over the next month itwill get a bit more serious.”
Miller has been swapped betweendefence and attack for most of his career and said he was hoping to find aregular position under new coach Dean Bailey.
While he is yet to have a deepdiscussion with his new coach, Miller said he has been impressed by what he hasseen so far.
“Personally I’m really excitedabout Dean. I’ve had a brief meeting with him and he seems a really good guy,”he said.
“It’s a new coach, I’ve got to sit down andhave a chat with him. I’ve got to get back to hit some form and play the way Iknow I can.”
While many are tipping theDemons to improve on their 2007 ladder position next year, Miller said he wasnot too fussed at narrowly missing out on what would have been the biggestimprovement of all.
Speaking hours after Chris Juddhad rejected Melbourneas a potential suitor, Miller was not too concerned.
“I haven’t really been toocaught up with it all. Judd is a great player and would be great on any list. But he’s made his decision and we’ll move on.”
