Demons' midfielder Clint Bartram has accepted a reprimand, and will be available for selection for Melbourne’s Round One clash against the Kangaroos.
Bartram was charged with making forceful contact from front on against Daniel Giansiracusa, during the fourth quarter of Melbourne’s 38 point loss to the Bulldogs at Casey Fields.
The incident was assessed as negligent conduct (one point), low impact (one point) and high contact (two points). This is a total of four activation points, resulting in a classification of a Level One offence, drawing 125 demerit points and a one-match sanction. Bartram has no existing good or bad record, and his early plea reduced the penalty by 25 per cent to 93.75 points and a reprimand.
