Matthew Bate: He worked hard all day. It was a great reward for him to finish with four goals.
Cameron Bruce: He was released to a wing and kicked his first two goals for the season.
Aaron Davey: Aaron had little impact on the game. He didn’t have any inside 50s and was well below his standards.
Lynden Dunn: Lynden created opportunities and contributed two goals.
James Frawley: Had a high workload and played on a number of opponents.
Colin Garland: He started well under pressure from a number of inside 50s by the Crows. But he must keep backing his judgment and skills.
Brad Green: After a frustrating first half, he kept willing himself and the team back into the match during the second half.
Jack Grimes: He was solid down back. He took his opportunity through the midfield.
Mark Jamar: Mark was beaten by a combination of two ruckmen. He didn’t have the impact we have come to expect from him this year.
Neville Jetta: He was caught in between the play. Neville tried to impact the game, but had a tough day.
Nathan Jones: Nathan did a good job on Scott Thompson in the three quarters he played on him.
Joel Macdonald: Joel kept fighting the game out. He won some important contests and was willing to take the game on.
Jordie McKenzie: Lost some 50/50 balls that we would expect Jordie to win. Part of an overall beaten midfield.
Brad Miller: Was competitive in the ruck and won some good 50/50 balls from limited opportunities.
Brent Moloney: After a quiet first half, he fought back in the second half. He won some key contested ball in the third quarter.
Cale Morton: Didn’t have much impact on the game. He needs to generate more run when he has the ball.
Jared Rivers: After playing on Ricky Henderson and Taylor Walker, Jared was forced to play on Kurt Tippett during the second half.
Tom Scully: Tom kept trying to run and create. His ball-handling wasn’t as good as usual.
Jack Trengove: Jack was forced into handballing more than kicking. He didn’t have his usual influence.
Matthew Warnock: Matthew was under siege in defence. He was beaten in one-on-one contests.
Jack Watts: Took some marks through the middle of the ground, but needs to continually work on winning 50/50 balls.
