MIDFIELDER Tom Scully has withdrawn from Sunday’s clash against Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval.

The second-year Demon didn’t complete training on Friday morning, due to a hip flexor injury.

Scully has had injury-interrupted season, playing just 10 matches.

A pre-season knee injury curtailed the start of his 2011 season, while he has been the focus of much speculation from the football fratenity, given he is out of contract at the season's end.

Defender Joel Macdonald came into the 25-man squad for Scully, when the squad was revised around midday on Friday. But Macdonald was later named an emergency.

Rohan Bail, who missed 12 matches from rounds nine to 20 with a knee injury, came into the starting 18 to replace Scully.

Bail, an underrated Demon, has played the past two matches with Casey - one in the reserves and last week in the seniors.

Along with Bail, forward Jack Fitzpatrick will make his AFL debut and Matthew Bate returns after starring for Casey last round.

Tom McNamara has been omitted and is now an emergency.

Liam Jurrah was a forced omission, due to a wrist injury.
