METRO Solar has signed on as a Melbourne platinum partner and will appear on the Club’s shorts in 2011.

Metro Solar is a leading solar energy company located in the heart of Melbourne’s community base in the City of Casey. Metro Solar will also sponsor the Casey Scorpions as part of the deal.

Peter Maynard, general manager of commercial operations said: “This partnership provides an important link between the Melbourne Football Club and the Casey Community. This reinforces the significant investment the club is making in the City of Casey and shows the strength of the business relationships we are developing there.”

With electricity prices tipped to rise by 50 per cent, by going Solar it helps consumers save money in the long run.  All Melbourne members will receive 20 per cent off the retail price of installing Solar at their homes or businesses. By choosing Metro Solar, consumers are choosing to help the environment, as well as aligning themselves with a business that reduces our carbon footprint and increases our planet’s sustainability.

Anthony O’Connell, director of Metro Solar said: “We are very excited to be partnering with Melbourne Football Club. Metro Solar places importance on quality and excellence in all we do - just like the Demons. As we also enjoy connecting with our local community - we have decided to sponsor the Casey Scorpions as our head office is located in the City of Casey.”

“We are also pleased to announce Brad Green as our spokesperson for Metro Solar in 2011. He encompasses the same values that Metro Solar promotes - consistent quality and performance as well as fairness.”

This announcement comes off the back of a strong pre-season for the Demons with a number of new partners set to increase sponsorship revenue by more than 15 per cent.

The new partners include major brands such as Office Works, New Balance, World Trade Centre, Peter Werth England and Glass Assist.
