Jamie Bennell: Jamie provided good run and carry. He used his speed and used the ball well with his kicking inside 50.

Tom Couch: Tom was strong in close, and worked hard around the stoppages.

Troy Davis: Troy played on a variety of opponents, and defended aggressively.

Lynden Dunn: Lynden was an emergency for Melbourne, and arrived at the start of the game. He came on at the start of the second term and played three quarters. Lynden had great impact off the bench, coming off an unusual preparation. He showed great professionalism and was able to play in a good win.

Jack Fitzpatrick: Jack got better as the game went on, and used his athleticism against bigger opponents.

Jordan Gysberts: Jordan applied excellent tackling pressure, until he injured his ankle during the second quarter.

Kelvin Lawrence: Kelvin impacted on the game as a crumbing forward, laying five tackles and kicking a goal.

Tom McDonald: Tom got some good reward for his efforts. He finished with 13 marks and three goals.

Cale Morton: Cale defended very well, and created off half-back with his run and ball use.

James Sellar: James led the backline with his positioning and voice. It was a good defensive game for him.

Jai Sheahan: Jai competed well in the air, and used the ball well out of defence.

Luke Tapscott: Luke applied strong tackling pressure and broke the lines with his long kicking.
