Howe sweet
Melbourne highlight reel Jeremy Howe discusses his marking prowess and the best mark he's seen in a one-on-one chat with AFL.com.au
MELBOURNE high-flier Jeremy Howe became the clubhouse leader in the race for mark of the year after his spectacular leap over Sydney Swans' defender Heath Grundy in round eight.
However he has not rested on his laurels, seemingly taking a grab capable of winning the mark of the year every week as he develops into a midfielder with strong prospects and rockets in his shoes.
In an interview with melbournefc.com.au, Howe responds to the question as to whether his mark against the Sydney Swans was his best grab ever.
He also discusses the best grab he has ever seen, his favourite mark by a Melbourne player and whether he can help teammate Mitch Clark with his landings.
The 21-year-old Demon who has played just 25 games was plucked from Tasmania with pick No. 33 in the 2010 AFL National Draft.
He sits fourth for contested marks in 2012, averaging 2.2 marks a game and sits just behind Collingwood's Travis Cloke, North Melbourne's Drew Petrie and Adelaide's Kurt Tippett on the AFL list.
He made his debut in round 11, 2011 and has been one of Melbourne's better performers this season.
