The Melbourne Football Club has made the following changes to its list ahead of the 2009 Draft Period.

- Rhys Healey, Jordie McKenzie, Daniel Hughes and Jake Spencer have all been retained on the Rookie List.
- Cameron Bruce has been placed on the Veteran’s List.
- Michael Newton and John Meesen have been delisted from the Primary List.

General Manager - List Management Tim Harrington said, “The Club has advised both Michael and John, that subject to them not being selected by any other AFL clubs in the National or Pre-Season Drafts, the Melbourne Football Club intends to draft both players in the upcoming Rookie Draft.”

“Both players are contracted to the Melbourne Football Club in 2010.”
