The talented Demon was set to play his first match for 2012 this weekend, after suffering a wrist injury pre-Christmas.
But football manager Josh Mahoney indicated the club wanted to take no risks with Jurrah’s return.
“Liam trained strongly this week and with another full week of training, he will be available for selection at Casey,” Mahoney told melbournefc.com.au.
Jurrah will now aim for an early morning return against Geelong at Simonds Stadium, when Casey plays at the Cattery on Saturday, May 5 at 10am.
The 2011 Melbourne leading goalkicker has played 35 matches and kicked 81 goals since he made his debut in 2009.
