THE CASEY Scorpions defeated the Northern Blues on Saturday afternoon to run out winners by 55 points at Visy Park.

The Scorpions took control of the match dominating the play, led by senior Melbourne player Aaron Davey through the middle of the ground and kicking a very good goal.

Melbourne listed player Jai Sheahan was also a highlight for the Scorpions gathering 29 possessions and showing some really good sings of development.

Lucas Cook finished the game with three goals causing the opposition some problems and hurting them on the scoreboard. Matthew Bate was also good with two goals for the match.

Ricky Petterd  provided a target up forward kicking one goal, but after sustaining an injury, he did not take any further part in the match after half time.

Backman Troy Davis was again very solid down back with another good performance.
