It was with great sadness that all at the Melbourne Football Club heard of the recent passing of two past players – Jack Hiscock and Tony Bourke. Jack Hiscock played four senior games in 1950, and kicked three goals. He wore guernsey No. 4, and his heritage number is 699.
Tony Bourke was part of the Melbourne team in the 1950s and early 1960s. Wearing No. 3, he captained the Seconds, and also played a role in the Club’s tour to the US in 1963, taking part in exhibition matches against Geelong. He went on to captain-coach in regional Victoria, most notably at Hamilton, Daylesford and Ballarat.
We pass on our sincerest condolences to family and friends of both Tony and Jack.
