MELBOURNE has confirmed that Liam Jurrah is currently in Adelaide to be with members of his family.

As is well known, Jurrah has had a very difficult year dealing with many challenging personal issues.

Jurrah has been in contact with the club and has confirmed that he wants to spend time with his family.

It is therefore unlikely that he will play for the remainder of the 2012 season.

In the past three weeks, Jurrah has returned to full training and played his first match back with Casey Scorpions last weekend.

His attitude has been very positive and he was able to confirm his commitment to continue playing in the AFL with Melbourne.

The club has stated many times, the personal issues that Jurrah is dealing with are both confronting and complex.

Melbourne will continue to give its very best support to him.
