The Melbourne Football Club has recently concluded try outs for the Under 12 all girls side. The selected side will don the red and blue and represent Melbourne in the second annual all girls team.
The try out session was conducted by Victorian Women’s Football League star and All Australian Kara Donnellan from St Albans Spurs, and Romy Timmins from the Berwick Hawks. Donnellan will coach the selected side.
True footy weather revealed itself for the try outs, with the girls defying the rain and wind to display their impressive skills.
Donnellan said, “The girls were great today, they all trained well and have great skills. We’re all looking forward to the game against North Melbourne.”
The team will take on North Melbourne during the September school holidays.
