Trengove gained 11 votes and Roo Ryan Bastinac claimed six votes.
Demon Jack Trengove (11) and Kangaroo Ryan Bastinac (six) rounded out the top five.
Hannebery featured in 19 matches this season, averaging 21 disposals per appearance, while Scully played 21 games, averaging 21.5 touches per match.
Jordan Gysberts was the other Demon to receive a nomination this year.
Demon rookie Jordie McKenzie was arguably the most unlucky player not to be awarded this year.
Defender Jared Rivers remains Melbourne’s only winner of the award, back in 2004.
