Final quarter
With the door slightly ajar for the Dees, Collingwood all but shut it when it booted the opening four goals of the final term.
 
Although the Dees trailed by 43 points, they hit back with four in a row to get within 25 points at the 14-minute mark.
 
But when the Pies answered with the next four in a row, it was over.

Third quarter
The Demons continued their fight shown in the second term, by outscoring the Pies in the third quarter with 4.3 to 2.6.
 
Mitch Clark had an outstanding term with three goals, while Colin Sylvia also chipped in with one.
 
The Demons reduced the margin to 26 points at the final stanza.

Second quarter
Collingwood continued to dominant early in the second term, when it added another two in succession, giving them a 51-point lead.

Melbourne finally opened its account via Jeremy Howe at the 15-minute mark.

But within four minutes, he had two on the board and James Magner had also kicked truly. The Dees reduced the deficit back to 34 points. At half-time, the margin was back to 35 points.
