Assistant coach Josh Mahoney runs through the 22 players from Melbourne’s 29-point loss to Port Adelaide at AAMI Stadium on Sunday

Rohan Bail: Rohan was a late inclusion for Col Sylvia. He played on a number of opponents, but on occasions got caught trying to take them on.

Clint Bartram: Played on the dangerous Cameron Hitchcock for the majority of the game and his limited his influence.

Jamie Bennell: Tough conditions to crumb with our ball movement. He missed some opportunities.

Cameron Bruce: He found plenty of the ball, winning a career-best 39 disposals and kept trying to generate run off half-back.

Lynden Dunn: Tried to spark the team.

James Frawley: A bit stagnant against the Power, he didn’t provide his usual run and dash.

Colin Garland: He played on the dangerous Robbie Gray and made him work hard. But Gray kicked three goals.

Brad Green: Troy Chaplin played on him for the game and in the end it was an even contest. Brad kicked one goal and Chaplin was below his usual statistics, winning just six disposals.

Mark Jamar: Dominated the hit outs, but was below his usual around the ground influence.

Nathan Jones: Did a solid job on Danyle Pearce and struck to his task.

Liam Jurrah: Did some exciting things and provided some exciting moments, including potentially the mark of the year. He got back to his best.

James McDonald: Was the leading tackler and clearance winner in the match. But that’s what we’ve come to expect from the 250-gamer.

Jordie McKenzie: Jordie provided another tough, inside game.

Brent Moloney: Gave a solid effort after five to six weeks on the sidelines. He will be better next week.

Cale Morton: He played a solid game, playing in a number of positions.

Michael Newton: Playing as a ruckman/forward, Michael provided some good taps in the ruck and spread well.

Jared Rivers: He was part of a backline under siege at times. He battled hard on different opponents.

Tom Scully: Continued to run and take the game on. He was one of our best.

Jack Trengove: Claimed eight tackles and four clearances in a tough close game.

Matthew Warnock: Gave away some free kicks in contests, but needs to be confident in his positioning.

Jack Watts: A quiet game, but got involved in some contested situations.

Austin Wonaeamirri: A bit fumbly throughout the game. He kicked two goals, as a small forward.
