BERNIE Vince says Melbourne is up for the challenge of taking on the slick Western Bulldogs at the MCG on Sunday.

On the back of last Saturday’s 73-point win over the Gold Coast Suns at Metricon Stadium, Vince said players were ready to test themselves against one of the most impressive teams in the competition.

“The boys are up and about. [We had] a good win last weekend and we set ourselves to win on the road, which was something we haven’t done that well in the past,” he told Melbourne TV.

“It was a great result, but in footy, next week comes around pretty quick, so we’re setting ourselves to go again this week.

“The Dogs are in great form and they’re sitting in the top four, so they’re playing a really fast game style. They’ve got a really good defence and they move the ball really quick, so we’re certainly going to be tested in both areas.

“We’re really looking forward to the challenge against a certain top four team.”
