MELBOURNE has added four players to its extended bench ahead of Sunday’s clash with the reigning premiers.

Mitch Brown, Luke Jackson, Oscar McDonald and Charlie Spargo have all been named in the club’s 26-man squad, with the final team to be announced on Friday evening.

Coming off a three-point loss to Geelong, the Dees will consider entering Round 5 unchanged to build some continuity in their side.

But if they opt to add a second key to the forward mix, Brown and Jackson both ready to take their chance.

The duo have earned their reprieve after strong performances in last Sunday’s practice match, one where McDonald was best afield in defence.

McDonald hasn’t played since the season opener in Perth, nor has Spargo who has missed the past two games with suspension.
