The 2010 best and fairest winner said he had no doubt Jurrah would overcome his off-field issues and wrist injury and play for the Demons again.
“[I’ve] got no doubt that he will,” Green said at AAMI Park on Tuesday.
Green said he had a brief conversation with Jurrah, when they arrived at training early on Tuesday.
“I spoke to Liam before in the change rooms and he’s good,” he said.
“He’s looking forward to his first day back at the club and he’s looking forward to getting into training.
“I went into the change rooms and saw Liam and said ‘how are you going?’ He had a big smile on his face and he said ‘I’m ready to get back into training’.”
Green said Jurrah would be finding the publicity tough to deal with, but added that the Northern Territorian’s situation would not distract from the team’s preparations.
