Geelong 14.16 (100) d Melbourne 8.3 (51)
Dom Barry: Dom had 16 disposals on the wing in tough conditions. He worked hard to get involved however just wasn't as creative as he has been in previous games.
Tom Couch: Tom had not played any football due to a hamstring injury sustained seven weeks ago against Werribee. In ideal conditions for Tom, he was very good in the stoppages and led the side for hardball gets, while laying six tackles. He will be better for the run leading into this week’s game.
Tom Gillies: We have persisted with Tom as a forward, as he is providing an option for the team. He took four marks and finished with two goals.
Mark Jamar: Mark clearly won the majority of hit outs with 50 for the game. However he only had the six disposals and one mark for the game, so his impact in general play was limited.
Cameron Pedersen: Cam completed his last game of the season in very good form, playing as a key defender and also as the spare, he finished with 29 disposals, seven marks, 10 spoils and 17 hit outs. He took a very courageous mark going back with the flight late in the game, which highlighted his willingness to contribute.
Rory Taggert: Rory was named as an emergency for the AFL side for the first time this season, which was a good effort. His game against Geelong was OK. He had 16 possessions and five tackles, but just didn't exert enough influence in conditions that suited his style of game.
Josh Tynan: As expected with Josh, he tried hard on the night however just could not make an impact on the game with 15 disposals and three tackles.
