HIGH-flyer Jeremy Howe says his mark of the year taken in round eight against the Sydney Swans last year “definitely” remains his best yet, despite taking two beauties against the Western Bulldogs last round.
Howe’s first mark came during the opening quarter, when he flew over the shoulder of teammate Chris Dawes and pulled in a ripper after taking two bites at the cherry. In the second term, Howe took another hanger over opponent Nick Lower.
But he said with a laugh that Dawes didn’t appreciate his aerial feats.
“It was good to get a couple, because I haven’t had any for a while, so it wasn’t too bad. But you’d have to ask Chris Dawes about that, because I don’t think he was too happy,” Howe said.
“I reckon the first one was better, because if I’d have taken it in one grab, it would’ve looked even better.
“I was just happy that it ended up sticking anyway, but I’ll take either way.”
Howe said it was hard to say where they ranked, but he thought they were in his “top seven or eight”.
“You can forget about the ones you’ve actually taken, but the ones that really stick in your mind are the ones against Port Adelaide and Sydney,” he said.
“There’s a few more underneath that, which you could fit in.”
