CASEY Scorpions have defeated the Northern Blues by 28 points at Casey Fields on Saturday.
Casey 13.14 (92) defeated Northern 9.10 (64).
The Scorpions continued their very consistent season and now sit on top of the ladder with just two losses from 11 games.
Youngster Jesse Hogan, who will be eligible to play for the Demons in 2014, dominated the match, with six goals, 10 marks and 21 disposals.
Usual ball magnets Tom Couch and James Magner finished with 27 disposals each. Magner had a team high 11 hard ball gets and laid five tackles.
Cameron Pedersen took charge of the backline, with eight marks, a team high 11 spoils and 22 disposals.
Luke Tapscott kicked two majors and had 19 touches.
Hogan, Pedersen, Tapscott and James Strauss were among Casey’s best.
Casey will play the Werribee Tigers at Avalon Airport Oval on Sunday 14 July at 2pm.
