THE Club’s Charity Partner, Berry Street, ran the inaugural Good Childhood Conference on Friday 11 October, exploring what sustains a good childhood and how  best to support those who have not experienced a good childhood.

Past player Russell Robertson and captain of Melbourne’s AFL women’s team, Daisy Pearce, spoke to the participants about the mantra of ‘Never Say Never’. They also spoke about the importance of making the correct choices in life to help achieve their goals, both on and off the football field.

Russell conducted a team building activity, which highlighted the importance of communication, encouragement and  teamwork.  The activity resulted in many funny moments for participants and the audience alike!  "

The session concluded with a question and answer session.  Daisy also spoke to a group of young females about the importance of physical activity, and outlined the assortment of female football pathways available.
