MELBOURNE has made five changes to its list, delisting talls James Sellar, Troy Davis and Tom Gillies, along with youngster Josh Tynan and rookie Tom Couch.
The versatile Sellar played 23 of his 44 AFL matches with Melbourne in 2012-13, after featuring in 21 games with Adelaide from 2008-11.
Davis, a defender/forward, made two appearances for the Demons in rounds 20 and 21 this year, after being on the club’s list for three seasons.
Backman Gillies joined the Dees for the 2013 season, but only played two matches in rounds one and two, after playing 13 games with Geelong from 2009-12.
Half-back Tynan made two appearances for Melbourne in the bookends of 2012 – rounds one and 23.
Couch, a midfielder, played three matches for the Demons in 2012.
They join retirees Aaron Davey, David Rodan and Joel Macdonald as 2013 listed players who have now left the club.
Meanwhile, midfield coach Brian Royal and forward coach Leigh Brown have also departed the club.
Royal, who played 199 matches and kicked 299 goals with the Bulldogs from 1983-93, has been an assistant coach in the AFL since 1996.
He was an assistant coach with Melbourne from 2000-03, and has been with Demons for the past three seasons.
Brown played 246 AFL matches with Fremantle, North Melbourne and Collingwood, including the 2010 premiership with the Magpies.
He was an assistant coach with Melbourne after retiring from the game at the end of the 2011 season.
