AS WE REACH the final days of the year, it's time to take a look back at the best parts of 2018.

Sam, a young fan from Brisbane, featured in two of our top performing videos of the year. The first was when his Dad, Simon, surprised him with tickets for our first final against Geelong. Sam then joined us at the club, where Simon Goodwin introduced him to the playing group.

Prior to the Semi Final against Hawthorn, Neale Daniher visited the club and addressed the playing group.
Melbourne fan Jon visited the club during the Finals Series, and received a memorable surprise from his favourite player, James Harmes.
Coach Simon Goodwin called to check in on Melbourne fan Robyn, who suffered a heart attack at our first final.
Spy Cam was there to capture the moment Charlie Spargo found out the exciting news, ahead of his round six debut.
Bernie Vince announced his retirement, in an honest and open address to the group.
Memorable Moments
Neville Jetta was awarded the Jim Stynes Community Leadership Award at this year's Brownlow Medal.
Clayton Oliver received his first All-Australian selection in 2018.
Jordan Lewis celebrated his 300th AFL game with a victory over Adelaide in round 19.
Nathan Jones also reached a significant milestone, ticking over 250 games at Melbourne.
The club celebrated a big occasion too, with 2018 marking its 160th birthday.

Neale Daniher and Russell Robertson lead the red and blue faithful to the MCG, ahead of the Big Freeze 4 on Queen's Birthday.
Club legend David Neitz was inducted into the Australian Football Hall of Fame.
