RUCKMAN Mark Jamar and midfielder Michael Evans, who both have foot injuries, and utility Rohan Bail (knee) are still set to be sidelined for another three to four matches.

Jamar has missed the past four games, Evans has been sidelined since round 11 and Bail has been absent for the previous two weeks.

Elite performance manager Dave Misson said the trio was progressing well, but were still up to a month away from playing.

“All those guys have started running, but to get them up to playing AFL footy, they need a week or two of rehab running and then a couple of weeks of running,” he told melbournefc.com.au.

Rookie Nathan Stark, who has had a tough first season battling knee, groin and ankle injuries, will miss another two to three weeks.

“He’s been a little bit slower than we would’ve liked,” Misson said.

“He’s progressed now, and he’s started running and doing some good stuff in the gym.”

In better news for the Demons, leader Jordie McKenzie, tough nut Jack Viney and defender Joel Macdonald returned from injury and played for Casey against Werribee on Sunday.

“They all got through well and they played good minutes in the VFL, but more importantly they pulled up well, so we were happy with how they went,” Misson said.
