This Sunday, the MCG will open to the public for its annual open day, giving sports fans the opportunity to have a kick on the hallowed turf just a day after the conclusion of the 2014 Toyota AFL Grand Final.
Entry to the event is free, with patrons also able to access the player changerooms and cricket viewing rooms.
For $5 patrons can visit the National Sports Museum and for $10, fans can have their photo taken on the AFL premiership dais with a replica 2014 premiership cup.
The AFL Playground will be open and fans can participate in AFL Victoria Draft Camp training sessions while Cricket Victoria and the Melbourne Stars will also hold clinics on the day.
The MCG Open Day will take place from 10:00am to 3:00pm this Sunday 28 September.
Access to the arena is through Gate 2 while the National Sports Museum can be entered through Gate 3, with last ground access at 2:30pm.
In the event of a drawn grand final, the event will be cancelled.
