JEREMYHowe says this Sunday’s clash against Greater Western Sydney at the MCG is a“massive game” for both teams.
Withthe Demons and Giants eager to add another victory to their name and avoid thewooden spoon, this clash looms as a critical encounter to shaping the last fewspots on the ladder.
AlthoughHowe said the Demons should have won more than its four matches so far thisyear, he said they were not underestimating the importance of the match.
“They’re(GWS) going to be coming at us with everything they’ve got – no doubt,” he toldDee TV.
“We’reboth down the bottom of the ladder with four wins and it’s going to prove to bea massive game.
“We’retaking a very strong side in – no doubt. We’ll be putting our front footforward to try and get that victory, as they will be. It’s going to be acompetitive game and we’ll both be going at it.
“Ifwe can play the way we want to play, we’ll come out on top.”
Howesaid the Demons were determined to produce three strongly contested effortsagainst the Giants, Eagles and Kangaroos to finish off their 2014 campaign –and take some momentum into pre-season.
“Youwant to be finishing off the year really well and strong, and give you someconfidence leading into the following pre-season,” he said.
“HavingGWS, West Coast and North [Melbourne], we’re definitely going to be in each ofthose games – this week especially playing GWS.
“Weusually play well against them at the ‘G, so we’re looking forward to that andthen [we’re] going to Perth to play West Coast the following week and then wefinish at Etihad [Stadium] against North.
“Wewant to be finishing strong and take some confidence into the following year.”
