NORTH Melbourne midfielder Jack Ziebell has been cleared by the Match Review Panel for his bump on Sam Mitchell and is free to face Adelaide in Thursday night's crucial clash at Adelaide Oval.
Ziebell was scrutinised by the MRP after launching into Mitchell in last Friday night's clash at Etihad Stadium and appearing to make high contact.
However, the Panel decided he had no case to answer, saying there was not enough forceful high contact to constitute a reportable offence.
"It was the view of the panel that contact was primarily made to the upper chest area," the MRP said in its findings.
Melbourne midfielder Bernie Vince also escaped suspension, but was offered a $1000 fine for his high bump on Sydney Swans star Luke Parker.
The Demons midfielder fumbled the ball in Sunday's clash at the SCG before bracing for contact and collecting Parker high with his right bicep.
The incident was assessed as careless conduct with low impact to the head.
The Demons have a bye this week but face Adelaide at the MCG in round 15.
Essendon ruckman Mark Jamar, who was the only player reported in round 13, was fined $1500 for umpire abuse.
A total of $11,500 in fines were handed down in the first bye round, with Hawk Daniel Howe offered a $1000 fine for striking Kangaroos veteran Drew Petrie.
Brisbane Lions captain Tom Rockliff was also offered a $1000 sanction for striking Brownlow medallist Matt Priddis, while Mark LeCras can accept a $1000 fine for striking Lion Claye Beams.
North Melbourne midfielders Ziebell and Daniel Wells and Hawks Paul Puopolo and Brad Hill were all offered $1000 sanctions for involvement in a melee.
Michael Firrito and Isaac Smith were fined $1000 each for wrestling each other.

Contact between North Melbourne’s Jack Ziebell and Hawthorn’s Sam Mitchell from the first quarter of Friday’s match was assessed. The panel said there was a quick kick from Hawthorn’s defensive area by Ben Stratton towards a group of players. Sam Mitchell prepared to mark the ball with Ziebell coming to the contest from the opposite direction. Mitchell took the mark and his opponent made contact to the front of the Hawthorn player. After viewing all available vision and receiving a medical report from the Hawthorn Football Club, it was the view of the panel that contact was primarily made to the upper chest area and there was no insufficient forceful high contact made to constitute a report. No further action was taken.
